Cheapest Tire Shop In Arizona?

I would like to buy a set of tires immediately for the 86 4Runner with just a 4" lift. I currently have 33X12.50X15 tires and they are very old and cracked up from the vehicle sitting for a while. I would like to get a set of Micky Thompson Baja Claw 33X15.50 but they may be too wide and I might have to stick with 33X12.50. What do you guys think. I see these tires everywhere for sale and looking for the cheapest distributor in Arizona. Thanks everyone.

Not sure, check out 4wheelparts.com There are three stores out in arizona. Im out here visiting and trying to go to check out a set of tires before i order them online for california. There is one in phoenix, tuscon and somewhere else.

33x15.50s might fit depending on what your backspacing is. I have a spare micky thompson bajaclaw 33X13.50 and it rubs on the tie rod end with the stock backspacing

So how would I fix the tie rod end to clear it since I am replacing all the steering components anyway. I am looking for quality stronger stuff, not OEM.

Well, you can't relocate you tie rod end without major fab and causing other steering problems so your only real option is to get new wheels with less backspacing (wider stance). This would be if your tie rod was actually rubbing.

Well like the previous poster said, it would be a bunch of work. Looking at your advatar it doesn't look like you have stock rims anymore, so do you know the backspacing and the width of the rims on it?

My questioning is that a 15.50 wide tire is probably to wide for anything smaller than a 10 or 12 inch wide wheel. Now i don't know much about the rim with vs, tire width, but the darn 13.50 is pretty darn wide for a 7" wide oem rim like i have as my spare.

Not to mention a 15.50 is probably pusing the steering components on the ifs (im sure someone will say that).

Anyways call up a tire shop and ask them some questions, your gonna have to know the specs of your wheels probably to get accurate info.

It looks like the 33X15.50 tires are going to fit. now the only concern is getting the lil 22RE to push those tires. I can barely travel up the 6% incline on freeways with out the engine getting hot or going 45mph with the flashers on already. I already have 4:88 gears too so I think I really need more power. Or the truck should have more power and is gutless because something is wrong with it? Hmmmmm??? Any input here guys???

Yeah call everybody and their mother for OUT THE DOOR prices (including tax, mounting balancing, whatever) then get Discount to beat it. They usually will. Big O has done it for me before too. Discount is funny sometimes about mounting certain tires to certain rims... for instance the tire I wanted required a 7.5" wide rim and stock is 7" so they wouldn't mount them for me. Big O then beat their price and did the job and didn't bat an eyelash.

Call:
Fletchers
Little O (queen creek)
Ok Tires
4 Wheel supply
4wheel parts
Check Discount Tire Direct (online) (good prices here)
and then just open the yellow pages.

Usually I make about 8-10 calls and you'll get some crazy price ranges for what you want. Pays to shop tires.

Thanks guys. Usually they are good for business but the kids they have working at the one near me are all a bunch of punks and jerks. Long story but I found some tires. Can you believe this guy gave me 4 nearly new used 33" Thornbirds that he only put 150 miles on, for only $380. What a heck of a deal right guys?

I know what your saying though. I hear the same thing. However I think they are great because of the application. I would never use these tires in Auburn WA, where I am from. I now live in the Phoenix area and since most of the places I go are sand filled and huge rocks, they are great. The tires are a very soft compound so although they do not last as long as most tires, they grip the rocks quite well. They are very slippery on pavements though and totally suck in the mud. I am not complaining for the $380 I paid though.
