Question on Removing My 87's Top

Hey everybody!
I am thinking about removing the top on my 87 4Runner.
Three questions
1
Will my gas mileage improve with the weight loss or will it be worse due to wind resistance on the highway?

2
How noisy will it be?

3
Will I smell gas fumes like I do when the back window is open with top on?

Thanks

NO or NO

2. How noisy will it be?

Depends on how loud you turn up the radio.

3. Will I smell gas fumes like I do when the back window is open with top on?

The noise isn't bad, and I know that I can definitely feel a bit more pep without the extra weight though.

Haven't noticed any change in MPG.

I never noticed fumes driving, but a friend in the back said it got a little smelly in the back seat after sitting in a parking spot for like 10 mins.

Watch myth busters-not much change, maybe 1 or 2 MPG either way if any

2

How fast are you going to drive? if you are in town it shouldnt be bad, on the interstate its going to be loud
3

Maybe. Most likely your passengers will smell it if you have people sitting in the back, Im thinking that you will smell some exhaust.
