So I bought a set of the 5 star 16" sport/limited wheels. I have a 1994 4runner I would like to run them on. So same basic question, will they rub if I use 265/70/16's without spacers and no lift?

 

Nope, should fit fine. Buddy of mine has those with what equates to 33x10.5s with a mild lift and no issues, so a 31" tire (as is th 265) should be ok.

 

Those are the wheels I am running, and I've got 285/75/16s on them with no lift, with minor to no rubbing. Just had to hammer in the pinch welds.

265s were on it previously, and they fit perfectly. No rubbing at all.
