Best place for new springs?

Well I've decided to leave the lil mule @ stock height w/31's but I'll need to replace the stock springs & shackles. I've only been able to find springs on JC Whitney & nothing on shacles....any ideas? Also would like to replace all of the body mount at the same time....I plan on tearing everything down and putting it back together the third week in September

Not sure what your stock options are, but i've heard good things about the JC Whitney ones.

why would you need to replace the shackles? just get new bushings and call it a day.

By just looking at the title of this post, I'd have to say the best place for new springs would be to put them where the old ones were , but in actuality, JCW may be good, and I'm curious if Downey have stock height springs. Also, nice looking FSJ in your avatar Al!

LIke what Al said, new bushings on your old shackles will do wonders...Just be sure to grease them when you put them on...
NWOR is a good source for bushings, but I would not recommend their springs, they are rough(but I don't think they have stock springs)
http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/bushings.html some say their customer service sucks

On the subject of springs, has anyone got any experience with this spring setup and lift for 1st gen 4x4's? I'm going to be putting 33x12.5's on my '79 and this is what I am planning on going with. It will pretty much be a DD with a little mud riding and hunting out of it. No rock climbing or anything extreme. Is the highway ride with these ok? Hopefully someone can provide the answers I'm looking for.

TIA,

Crtzlow
