Grease for Aisin hubs

What do you use. I tried moly, but that didn't keep the moisture at bay and its pretty corroded in there. I think I will try the grease that I use on the drivetrain (can't remember what its called, but its red).

I know that valvoline makes a water resistance multi purpose grease for wheel bearings......I think that would work

I'm almost positive that's what I used the last time I broke into my locking hubs, and I had no problems. If we're thinking of the same stuff it should be a red color.

Replace your seals and gaskets for the hubs. You actually don't want much grease inside your hubs because it can prevent the spring actuated spline from locking the hub.

Correct...too much grease (which a lot of people think is GOOD) will create a vacuum making the hub dials impossible to turn. Rebuild "kits" can be purchased from the Toyota dealer for about 10 bucks (for both sides) This includes a new paper gasket and o-ring

I'll jump on the bandwagon - you want a thin layer of pretty much any grease. It doesn't matter what kind, in a hub the cheapest stuff works just as well as the most expensive. Just a thin layer, and rely on the seals to keep water out, not the grease.

I use that red Valvoline multi-purpose stuff for everything, and have not had any problems out of it. Got a tub of it, and a tube of it in the grease gun.
