Should I buy this 89 4Runner?

http://ocala.craigslist.org/car/747348271.html

I spoke with the guy and heres the information he gave me-
He swapped the engine out for a used one with 160,000 miles on it, the original motor had 200,000. The exterior is in okay shape, on the top and hood is kind of warn. Its 4WD with a 3'' body lift, has some minor problems with the 4WD and steering because of the lift. Everything is automatic, the driver and passenger side electric windows wont roll up or down. He is willing to take 1,700 for it.

Should I buy this? How much money do you think ill end up having to put in this thing?

Sounds a little high to me.
I got a 88 with 150000 miles on it for 1100. And everything works

well, consider this another way: 1700 for a lifted truck from which you will take the body lift off of thus rectifying the problems from the lift.

You should ask what kind (brand) of body lift did he install?

i bought my 93 4runner with 137,000 mi. with a little front end damage.(mostly fender and headlight assembly). 4x4 works great! a little rust on the back wheel well area and on the lower rear door corners.(god i hate running boards!) from a dealership none the less for $1200. i put tranny solenoids in right away, but nothing else has gone wrong with it yet. i,d keep looking for a better deal.

to be honest it sounds a little rough around the edges to me. the seller even stated it was a good hunting or work truck. when i think of a hunting or work truck i see a rough looking machine. where are you located? im about 40 minutes from ocala..

all in all id look for a better deal, theres more fish in the sea, as i always say!
