What is the piece that goes over the rear tire on the door ('00 4Runner SR5)?

An accident caused the half-circle piece that is just in front of the tire (rear driver's side) to fall off. It appears to be attached via a bracket. Really, I think all I need to fix it is the bracket as the actual part seems OK, but I don't know what the part is called.

I don't know much about cars/trucks in general so I'm sorry if this is vague.

Thanks.

I'm assuming you are talking about the flares and your best bet for a replacement is to look for somebody parting out any 3rd gen with the wider flares and get that bracket since I'm not sure even if Toyota would be able to get you just that one pice as opposed to the whole set.

Thanks. I've looked at flare pictures online but haven't seen any that resemble the piece that gost on the door. Could the flare be the piece on the body of the car and then the piece I lost be called something else?

Thanks for responding!

If a part is still attached to the door then that is the bracket and the flare piece is the part that you don't have, right?

I figured that might have to be the case sine the bracket piece on the door wouldn't just come off as it would damage the door in the process.

You're right, the bracket didn't just come off. The dealership took it off and then sent me to the body shop for an estimate. The guy didn't even look at the flare (or tire molding as I now think it is called) when he slapped me with a $700 estimate. I think all I need is the bracket and correct pieces since the molding seems to be in fine shape.

Should I just post a wanted ad somewhere to see if there's one out there?
