hello,I own a 89 yota 4x4 22re. It recently was running rough so I tuned it up changed the cap/ rotor and coil. It ran ok, but the truck would back fire while it idled and when driving it but it would run good once it warmed up. after getting home from work I tried starting it the next day and no go. checked the starter and it was good, i also checked for spark and there is also spark. I jumped the fuel pump in the diagnosis box and I could hear it working.
the truck sounds like its going to start but it doesnt. I check the codes and got code 24= INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR SIGNAL--OPEN OR SHORT IN INTAKE AIR TEMP. SIGNAL
--INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT

--INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

--ECU
and code 31=MANIFOLD AND/OR AIRFLOW METER SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
--AIRFLOW METER/CIRCUIT

--MANIFOLD PRESSURE SENSOR/CIRCUIT

--ECU
is there any way i can test these and can these be the reason my truck doesnt want to start. also where is the INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

i got a 95 pickup and have a similar problem. on here they said it was my contacts in my starter. every mornin illl go to start mine and it just clicks. but after i turn it about 10-12 times it starts.
