Injector plugs

finally figured out how to start my own thread, so here's my first question for anyone out there. I'm near completion of an install of a rebuilt 22r on my '85 p'up. I got replacement injectors from LC and also ordered the new connector plugs since my old ones are broken. I am splicing the new connectors on with shrink tubing, but i realized that i don't know if they are positive/negative specific, or if it doesn't matter. the new plugs just have two black wires but the wires from the harness are color coded. Too late to call AZ from here, any body know that one?

please tell me you're soldering them, not just heatshrinkin em together under a wannabe splice. just plug em in, and follow the line. its as simple as that.

just run the wires to the same side of the new connector as it was on the original --worst case, it shouldn't really matter

BTW - sometimes solder is bad - a properly crimped and sealed connection can be just as good, but it depends on how much flex or vibration a section of harness will get to make the call one way or another. If the harness is subject to flex or vibration the wire will eventually break off right at the end of the solder - it's the same thing as what happens if you run a bead of weld straight across a frame rail. If you really want to solder, try to keep the solders to a small section (no 3/4" sections of solder) and stagger them so they're not right next to each other

Thanks corax, guess that should have been an obvious one there. as far as the splice goes, i am using the butt connectors that LC provided with the connectors and heat shrink tubing over them. after reading your post i might add some splicing tape on top to prevent weakening/breakage.
