Several Questions

I've got several miscellaneous questions about my '90 V6 4Runner...

Does anyone know if there's a way to redo the white lettering on the various controls? Mine have mostly faded away, it looks bad and it's hard to remember what everything does haha....

Also, I adjusted my RPM to right about 800 when at idle in park, and then when I put it in drive it drops to about 500? Does that seem right?

Finally, there's a slight clattering or rattling noise right under my console when I accelerate, could it mean tat my engine mounts are loose?

Thanks, sorry for the quiz!

I dont know about the lettering short of replacing all the buttons and such.

It is normal for the idle to drop, I also find it best to adjust the idle after a long drive.

These old trucks make alot of noise expecially rattling and clattering, often mistook for engine sounds but most of the time it's nothing.

IIRC, the idle on the auto is supposed to be set to the RPM shown on the sticker under the hood when in drive, not in park.
Don't have one myself, but every automatic trans equipped vehicle I've owned, including my 89 celica, has spec'd idle speed set when in drive.
