So I am looking at this 82 4wd short bed and it needs a hood, a fender, and a door. It may need a core support as well. The doors have vent windows that I'm not too fond of... and a big dent on the passenger side door anyway...

Now I found a nice clean 79 2wd longbed with NO rust...(No motor no tranny).

I know the round vs. square is not a big deal. I thought I read somewhere that the core supports from 2wd and 4wd were different. Is this true?

I know the 2wd dont have the built in fender flares... but are interchangable.

What about the doors? 79 non vent window VS. 82 w/ vent window. Can I just bolt on the entire door and be done?

Also. I will end up with a rust free Nevada desert cab with clear title... What will it be worth? Cab with glass but no doors...

 

doors will not be an issue, just swap them out. Cab price can vary a lot. If you were closer to Portland I would give you $250 for it.

Yeah! I just figured it was you after reading some other posts... I have just been really torn because I have too many projects.... I was hoping to sell some crap I had first.... ... I didn't want to spend all the cash I had and have a truck that still wouldn't drive....

You didnt mention to me the holes in the roof. The cowl by the wipers looks like its bent from the hood pushing into it. Your old ad also mention the tailgate doesnt latch on one side.. was this fixed? It also says the PO slid into a tree and the Pass door is toast.... Does it open and close ok? Does the window roll up and down? Also... Did the starter freeze or did the motor freeze?
