ok got a 22re in a 94 toy pickup. When Im coming down a hill with my foot not on the gas I can kinda hear a pressure releasing from mabye the exhaust but it seems to be coming from in the engine bay.Sounds like its back pressure? Do you guys have the same noise? If you know what it is please let me know. Sorry if you dont understand its kinda hard to type the sound of something! Thank all

 

kinda like a waaaaaaooooburbleburbleburble type sound. Yeah, I think it's just air coming back in the exhaust when you let off the throttle.

 

Yeah as soon as you let off the gas it goes spuuuuuuuussssssssss! LOL almost like a blow off valve but not so much!

 

Anyone else get this sound?

my 88runner with the 7MGE does this noise. This one I think is just a bit of gas lighting off in the exhaust (my ECU doesn't see vehicle speed, so it can't go into Decel Fuel Cut), on manual trans 22RE's the throttle plate dashpot is supposed to prevent this by holding the throttle open a hair before closing
