Well,
Apparently too much wheeling ripped the crap. It is now hitting against my tire on my front passenger side. I can hear it and it looks like crap. I'm wondering why I even have it? Its factory, black, plastic, and it hard. It ripped it (broke...whatever) in half and it is still attached. I will get a pic up shortly. But what is the purpose of it? Is it supposed to protect something? And, do I even need it?

always thought it was sposed to keep rocks out of the fender, and junk out of the engine bay but mine is getting pretty tore up its self..

 

Yeah, I thought the inner fender was supposed to do that?

Mine did the same thing...I put a few new screws in there with some washers and its fine. Personally I'd keep it - I like keeping water splashing off of my tires out of the engine bay....not to mention the rocks and mud.

 

yeah, try to refasen it back on there if you can. where that's at, it keeps a lot of debries out from the door jam are too

 

I've been in that situation too and had to cut the lower 8 or so inches off to keep it from happening again. I re-attached mine using stainless steel self tapping screws and after I got it on I pulled each one out and filled the hole with silicone than re-installed the screw. IH8RUST though so you may not need to go that far.

 

If you want a simple and easy way to fix it, use zipties, they work wonders

 

Mine got ripped off and never got around to getting a replacement

 

That was my SAME thought! lol.

Looks like zip ties will get the job done

 

You have to keep it. If not you will tear the crap out of your firewall with rocks and stuff.
