I can't remember if there is a gasket that goes here or not. I do have the metal round washer that fits in there, but is there also another gasket? Man, I'm getting old.

umm... here where?

 

it doesn't take a gasket, it takes a rubber o-ring that slips ocer the male end the pipe that bolts to it.

I just got back from the pole barn. You're right, it IS rubber!!! I thought it was metal since it was so hard (please, only clean thoughts!!). I tried to bend it and the washer simply broke in to. It was rubber at one time. Now, it's off the parts store again!!

That's one end of the hard coolant tubes for the heater core that wraps around the back of the head. It's an 'O'-ring like DeathCougar says. Toyota part number 96711-24017, sorry I don't know the exact size. Should be easy to find in the drawer at a hardware store.
