Im thinking about grabbing a early 90s Hilux Surf 2.4T in BC, Canada.

Just wanted to know whos has/had one and what was thier experience like?
(I know the problems with the overheating/head problem.)

Any info you can give me whould be great, plus heres a few questions I had.

Any problem getting parts and prices on parts?

Price to get the head replaced.

How reliable was the surf besides the head/heat problem?

Insurance cost?

etc...

Insurance cost would be the same as any other 4runner of that vintage powerplant really does'nt matter.
Some parts would be easy to get others you might have to import from Austrailia/Japan, or else source from the local Hino dealer posibly.
