I have seen a lot of different soft tops and bikini tops, but haven't seen one like I want. I think it would be awesome if they made a soft top camper shell type thing that actually looks like the factory hard tops. It would keep the factory look but would allow you to roll up the sides and back like the camper shell style ones. Probably not even something to start a thread over, but I like the idea. I know some of you have gotten them custom made, how much did it cost with the designing and fabricating processes?

 

You haven't searched hard enough. Killertoytops makes one that looks just like the hard top IMO and uses the rear glass.
I will be getting one for my new 87 4Runner when I get the chance.

That's cool, but not $900 cool. sheesh they must be proud of their products.

 

who needs a 900 dollar soft top when you could just use a tarp.

 

I've got an old Ga flag that I'm thinking about making a bikini top out of. Just cut it a bit in the back, then have my grandma sew it up and then sew on some clear plastic stuff so it will be 1/2 way weather/tear resistant. Should be pretty cool if I ever do it.
