Question on new tires/wheels

Hello all. Im currently running stock suspension on my 4runner for a little bit longer until I get the funds for my lift. Im looking at getting something like this for wheels along with Terra Grapplers in 265/75/16. My question is am I going to rub like crazy on stock suspension with that setup? Thanks for any answers as I know this has been covered 1000 times, but I just cant find solid answers. This is the kind of wheel im looking at getting. Also if that would work, the 6 on 5.5 would be the one I would want right? Thanks!

Those should be fine, you want the 6 x 5.5, but not sure whether you want the regular or hub centric wheels (has been answered, just can't remember what the answer was)

not to steal the topic by any means as my question is basically the same. i know 265/75/16 is the biggest on factory set-up, but even on a '01(lowrider)2WD model would they still fit? in the rear i know there is plenty of room but the front worries me.

nice looking rims you picked out t-rev.

My '02 "lowrider" fit 265's with no lift just fine. There was very rare frame rubbing with full steering lock and driving over a harsh driveway approach. But, that happened less than 10 times without my lift. My 285's rub more even with the lift.

I just had 4 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-2 265/75R16s w about 80% tread installed on my completely stock 1999 4Runner Limited.

Absolutely no rubbing at all. I tried to drive over some rough terrain while turning the wheel back and forth lock to lock and still no rubbing. Although at full flex some rubbing could result. However, I think that 5 minutes with my angle grinder and she'd be good to go.

I did much reading on this and was still a little worried. The tire tech even looked at them and said doubtfully "They'll be fine if you can drive in a straight line." I had to reassure him that I had done my reading on Yotatech and IH8MUD and that they would be OK.

BTW, the larger spare still fits fine inside the trailer hitch well.

Next step is OME, ARB front bumper, and a winch. Doin it all over again after having sold my HJ60.

Happy trails,

Bruce
