I have a 1990 pickup with the 22re automatic and 4x4. I am going to swap a 4.3 vortec into it. I heard that I have to use my transmission to make it work is that true? What other parts will I need for this swap and about how much will it roughly cost? Another question what year motor would you recommend me getting?
