87 4Runner Sound Deadener and floor mat work

Here are some pics of the interior work I have been doing on my truck. The whole floor and inside of all the rear panels have been Peel & Stick - PnS'd ("Quick Roof" UPC 95959 06251). I also shot a few cans of rubberized undercoating inside the panels, after Ospho-ing a few rust spots and then primer coating over that.

The carpet has been replaced with HD rubber mat, that is "formed" to the floor (sort of), and was purchased from Rock Auto. The kit is for the front and passenger areas, and comes with not enough jute padding, so I went to a local place to purchase extra jute. The rubber mat is SUPER tough and very thick (about 1/8"), it took about 10 hours total to get this trimmed and fitting nice!

You can also see the 6 1/2" speaker holes that are cut into the side panels. I'll post another pic of the finished speaker grilles soon. For now, the speakers are el-cheapo "Dynex" which were on sale at Best Buy for $20.

Good work, i'm thinking about making sheet metal panels to close out the rear sides of my 4runner, I think that was horrible design on Toyotas part leaving the tub open like that, especially with as prone to rear fenderwell rust as they are, makes it a nightmare.

My current panels for the rear have some nice cracked/sliced/broken 6x9 holes in them from a previous owner. There is actually a lot of usable space in the sides of the 4runner. I was thinking of putting a small Hawker battery in one side for accessories and an inverter and maybe some sort of tool boxes/netting in the other.
