$35/vehicle for the 1st day. Any additional days will only be $10/vehicle.

This is cheaper than a normal weekend at the cliffs!! And it includes a BBQ on saturday night.

The snack shack lady will be doing breakfast at the cliffs on saturday morning. $5 gets you eggs, sausage, pancakes.....the usual stuff.

Last year was great success with about 65 trucks over the course of the weekend.

This will be open to ALL Toyota 4x4's (mini's, cruisers,fjc's...) But of course anyone who wants to wheel is welcome.

Friday: Setup camping, meet and greet, free roam wheeling.

Saturday: Meet in the lot at 9am for a drivers meeting, guided trail runs, free roam, BBQ.

Sunday: Free roam wheeling.

Last years raffle was huge and everyone stepped up huge! this year looks like it will be bigger!

CAMPING

Camping at the Cliffs, in the park, $10 per site/rig, no hook up.
Camping will be up in the park at a private grass camp site with access to the road.

Some pics from last year

About a month out now.

I need to get a rough idea of how many people I will have and for what.

So post up if you plan to attend, what days, camping?

Just got back from the Cliffs and we picked out a camp gound. It will be up on the bluffs. There is plenty of shade a killer view. The Area will be off limits during the weekend to eliminate ATV traffic, and keep down the dust. It may however be difficult to get your tow rig up there depending on the weather. But unless we have major down poors and your tow rig is 2wd or on high way tires it shouldnt be a problem. Of course if it is you can park the tow rigs and trailers in the lot if you would like. I also plotted out some rare trails for the event that I will lead (12 & 13).

I will be there before noon. Last year groups started to file in at around 5pm. We did not wheel on friday last year. But I am ready and willing on friday to wheel. Dogs are welcome. I dont bring mine only because he is a golden retreiver and would love to just jump in some of the many bottomless pits. Last year we had a few dogs.

Thats crazy. You guys have been right under my nose for some time now and didnt know it. I go through Marseilles Lock & Dam several times a year.
I expect to be coming from St.Louis area Friday morning.

Is alcohol consumption allowed in the camping area?
Will showers and toilets be available to those of us in tents?

alcohol-yes.

camping at the cliffs is primitive. No showers, but the other camp grounds (illini state park, 4-star/whispering pines) might. Basically we are camping up on the bluffs. If it doesnt work out we can just camp down by the main building and use their bathrooms.

Im also working on a port-a-pot.

Nice 1st gen! How the hell are you running pro-fields in that. I blew a profield before I even hit the trail!

Anyway, back on topic.
I will have a buddy with me and he was wondering how much it will cost him for the weekend.
Update: I will be ordering the 300M 30 spline Longfields on Monday. Stock birfields seem to hold up as good or better than than Profields especially on the short side.

The rates are up top. 35$ for the first day. 10$ for any additional day. that gets you a bbq on saturday, and a raffle ticket. Plus some night wheeling maybe. camping is 10$ at the cliffs. and breakfast at the cliffs on sat morning is $5 (eggs, sausage, pancakes, bacon....)

Your rig reminds me of marlins.

No better way to learn the ropes then to get out there and meet the guys who have been doing this for years. And wheeling your own rig to determine what needs to be done to it. Its amazing what you can learn around a camp fire as well.

If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me!

Exactly one of the reasons why I'm going. I'm new to wheeling as well and would like to learn what I could to my rig to improve it.

My dog is a lab so I guess I will leave home as well since I don't want to sleep next to muddy wet dog smell haha.

Yup there should be about 100years atleast of collective toyota and offroad knowledge sitting around the fire, just grab a beer and a chair.

My dog will likely never see the cliffs. I take him to the badlands all the time though.
