Yeah I can't wait to get started. My shock hoops arrive tomorrow and Jon over there at trail gear told me that my rear leafs will be shipped out thursday or friday, so I'll probably have em mid next week. Thought I'd bother them for a change instead of blowing up your cell phone haha.

Probably have it all buttoned up minus the rear by sunday. Wanted to do it all, but I'm having my thirds setup for me. Only part I'm kinda thinkin is gonna be a p.i.t.a. the powersteering bracket and pump setup. Been lookin for info on all that but aint came up with much.

That and I'm floatin between just running the 35s plain and simple, or going ahead and tubbing the firewall and running the 37s and hurry up and blow those birs so I can order those longs haha.

Dunno I'd really just like to see some rigs both on 35s and 37s so I can make up my mind... What ya think?

Verra nice. Aint happen to have any good ol RTI "Gander up the skirts" pictures laying around do ya?

I got the 5" with the heavy duty front springs (the ones for folks with v6 or v8s), and was a little worried about how they would affect my flex, but then I came to the bright conclusion that I'd just build I ginormus front end replacement to split the difference in wieght betwix a I4 and a V6/8.

I think she'll git er dun

Speaking of which, not really but all the same, you know what I forgot to order? Lockers.... I'm guessing warranty doesn't apply if you lincoln lock em right?

And now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'll just steer clear of the body lift idea. Stupid physics, what with its center of gravity nonsense and whatnot...

And I think I mentioned once that ADD is not really productive to a coherant string of thoughts! Hah

You can ask me is you have any ??'s We are in the middle of a 5" lift now (started Dec sometime, right during our rainy season)

See 5" lift, 85 Toy in the fab section to see 35s on a taco rear axle, no body lift. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...-truck-138873/

I would sugest a straight piece of conduit for when you weld on the rear axle fwd mounts. Clamp both mounts on, and run the conduit through the spring holes to make sure they are in line with each other. We welded ours flat to the bottom of the frame, but they are not parallel with each other. they are about 5 deg like this....\..../(way exagerated, but the keyboard has nothing close). If we had known, and aligned with each other they would be like this...._....._ . We have left it for now, but if we wear out spring bushings, they will be replaced.

5 inches seem awfully high for 35s or 37s even....and why would you need to tub the firewall?

Thanks for the tip yoda. Pretty sure I can find some channel (or at lease some angle) to help hit em parallel.

Got my shock hoops in today. Now I'm just missing the rear springs. Not important at ALL.

To run real off-road tires over 37" tall and more than 12.50 wide.

If Me and two buds can build our own pontoon boat from scratch (UaSS Keggermiester) in a weekend I don't think this lift'll be any sweat off my balls.

Plus I happen to be using my bud's offroading shop with a lift, so that'll make it even easier. Thirds alreay setup too. Plus I got enough beer to intice my bud's into pulling at lease a 12 hour day. Haha yeah I'm a cruel slave master!
