the invisible part. help?
i own a 1981 4x4 toyota pickup with the square headlights. i hit a deer a while back and broke the headlight door on the passenger side. i have looked everywhere for a replacement one and have found the circle headlight doors on ebay and other sites for an 81'. does any one know of a place that i could get one of these headlight doors. or if i could take the cover off the circular headlight door and put that on my truck. i have searched junk yards, u-pull-its, auto shops, the internet for hours looking for this part. every truck i came close to taking one off of had already sold or gave it away. its starting to drive me nuts how this part is so invisible. please help.

A headlight door is the plastic border ring thats around the headlight, either chrome or black. The headlight just mounts inside of it. It's tied into the grille, without it the front end/headlight would look funny. Not sure where you can get part. Those older parts are getting harder to find. Try craigs list in different cities too, you might run across something.

I have 2 sets, one silver/black one chrome. Not for sale though, they really are hard to find in good shape.
They are called headlight bezel/bucket/surround, never heard them being called doors before.
