Cool Wire from voice coil is burning up (pics)

Well this is the second time this has happened to me so far. The wire leading from the voice coils to the frame of the sub, burn off at the connection where you put the wire in to power it. I burned the negative side first, fixed it, and now i have burned the positive one too.

I'm running two Kicker CVR 12's with dual 2ohm VCs and a Kicker ZX750.1 (birth certificate said max power at 850W) amp. The subs are wired up at 4ohms and since the amp is mono both wires run to one terminal and make the whole system running at 2ohms.

I guess im just pushing too much power and need to turn it down a little bit, but the amp is def not turned up all the way.

Is there anyway i can increase the gauge of the wires to try and keep it cooler?

Can this wire be bigger? These are the terminals that are burning up -

You can see the wire just burned off -

Heres the one i already fixed (re-saudered it). That is heat shrink, not tape -

Just for the hell of it -

I rewired it to that diagram and now it works much better. Thank you

375 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (750 watts x 1 at 2 ohms)

i saw a few kickers do that when i used to work at an audio shop, almost every time it was because they werent getting enough power. what type of amp do you have, and what size fuses are on it and how many? fuses on the amp not your inline fuse
