Squeeky IFS!!! 87 Runner

Let me start by saying IT IS NOT THE STEERING STOPS

I think the squeek is coming from the upper A arm at the forward most end of the torque rod. It makes noise reguardless of steering wheel position. It only squeeks when the suspention drops, so if I push the bumper down its quiet until I let go and the truck pops back up then it squeeks.

I've never had IFS before but I'm figuring I should just have to replace the bushings right? I already greased everything wth a zerk on it.

Rust or a worn a-arm bushing.

^^^ that would be my guess or the sway bar bushings on the frame. i would say use marine grease or the energy sus. lube. on a side note the a arm bushings are a bitch to work with and a pita to remove. i hope it is the swaybar for your sake.

A similar thing happened in my '99 Ranger. I figured out which side it was on and the approximate location, then blasted everything I could see with a spray lubricant. After a couple of days, it went away, never to return. I'm guessing it was something that got surface rust after snow-wheeling one winter.
Good luck!
