Has anyone advanced or retarded the stock cams with the stock cam gear. Also has anyone used the cams at EL Prototype

Do you mean advance/retard with adjustable cam gears?

I dont see how they would work on the "four cam" 5VZ. I also dont see how they would be of any benefit. You need a dyno to tune them. I saw very minimal gains in my 95 Civic SI, and ended up removing it.

Somebody on this board claims to have cams and some head work, but I dont remember who.

Anyone will tell you, the best bang for your buck is the SC. Installing the cams would be a very serious project.
