Talking new kind of fire extingusher! please look and say yay or nay!

hey all, a family friend recently invented a formula that goes into an arosol (sp) can that will put out a plane engine that has been doused with aviation fuel, it is awsome and is going into production in about a month, i plan on putting a can into my truck because there only about the size of a raid can , and will put out enough to cover the truck, if anyone wants any more info or wants some cans i will have them pretty quick, i think next week is when the pre production stuff comes in. let me know if you guys want some and sorry so sketchy on details, more later..

Hey count me in!
Let me know what kind of documentation you have on it too. Is there a website to go to? Does he have any type of brochure?

I have a regular ABC and have lately been thinking about a halon extinguisher. I'm open to new stuff though

EDIT:
Actually, if it's really reliable I might be able to talk to my boss at work about replacing what we have in our dept. cars. We have just ABC in those too and have run into situations where we had to wait for the Fire Dept. cause the ext. wasn't good enough.

What are these extinguishers rated at? If they are for sale they need to be tested by UL or another lab to receive a rating.

How far can you spray with the aerosol can? Less than 10 feet and it is as effective as an ABC extinguisher. In other words you will get burns if the fire is of any decent size - doesn't matter that there is enough material to extinguish an entire vehicle. Radiant heat is just as dangerous as the actual flame.

Is it corrosive to exlectronics? Standard extinguishers can be.

like i said, not positive about anything yet, but i know that it will put out a buring plane engine without getting the operator of the can in any real danger, when i find out more info i'll post more, i will probably know within the week cause pre production stuff got here today, production starts tommorow. etc.etc.etc

im working on a website for this stuff to. as soon as i get info, ill post it.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Have you got this in yet? Let me know also when you get this in, I might be interested in carrying this with me.
