Toyota V6 R150/AX15 hybrid transmission, V6 guys you need this! Run a NP231/D300

This a 93 Jeep AX15 with a 1989 Toyota R150 input shaft.

What this transmission allows you to do:
Instead of having to buy an expensive adapter to go from the V6 transmission to a gear driven Toyota box, you can bolt the common and cheap NP231 or the Dana 300 directly behind it. Or, using the DD Machines or MadRooster kit, you can run a NP231/D300 doubler setup. Not only does this afford you true twin sticks, but you obtain a setup that is stronger, has better gearing (2.62/2.72 instead of 2.28/2.28), and costs hundreds less than a Toyota doubler setup. This transmission is 2 inches shorter than the R150.

I had this behind my 3VZE for a total of 6 months and a couple thousand miles before giving it up for a 3800 II and 700R4. Still running the same doubler however. Both transmissions had less than 120k on them before the swap took place. Everything was cleaned and inspected before reassembly.

Included: transmission, V6 bellhousing, shifter

This should work on all Toyota V6 trucks and 4Runners from 88 to 95ish.

Looking to get $350. Located in Potsdam, NY. I will be making a trip through VT and NH if you want to work something out.

I can get pictures if anyone is interested. Feel free to call me at 518-429-9350

I did the work myself. Keep in mind I didn't rebuild it, just reused the parts I had. The synchros were still in spec. I don't know offhand how much play is in the input, but it wasn't excessive. I used the better bearing of the two that I had.
