Gears... Install costs?

I'm just wanting to know what it cost everyone to have their gears installed. Or if they did it themselves how hard/long did it take? Should I go for just stock 4.88 4cyl gears or go look for 2 V6 third members with 4.56 gears? Anyone know of a good place to take the truck in the louisville area? Any ideas on what I should do are greatly appreciated.

A V6 R&P does not fit your diffs. You will need a OEM V6 third member to do this setup.
And you have IFS up front with a 7.5" R&P. A V6 8" would never fit. Unless you have a solid front axle.
I always do my own setup. It is not that difficult if you follow the manual exactly. But if you do not have the tools or knowledge: don't do it. It is a delicate thing, and if you do something even slightly wrong, you'll end up with a broken R&P within a few days. Better ask a friend for some help and you can save a lot of money.

Tell ya what, If I'm not painting it or sanding it down that weekend I'll try my best to be there... I'm going to have to take that friday off working third shift an all, but that I don't mind. Give me the weekend to work things out.

I'm going to try now that I have my lift on and my wheels and haven't been out since I got them on. But what will keep me from going is the second that I find a paintbooth. Nextweekend is all my body work, Hopefully. And the quickest I can get a paintbooth we're going to paint it. I want to have all of it done before august when I start my fall semester.
