exhaust hangers on a 3rd gen 4runner
Hi all, I have an annoying rattle on my 96' (5vzfe) 4runner when I'm in drive. I think I might be missing some exhaust hangers -- anyone know where all of them are suppose to be mounted? Any part numbers you have would also be greatly appreciated.

If you get under the truck you can see all the places there should be a hanger. They would go on to the small rods sticking off the exaust to something similar on the chassis. The hangers on my'98 are rubber pieces with holes in each end good luck

i think the actual hanger part is the metal hook that is welded to the exhaust and then hooks to the rubber thingy, there are at least 2 that i can think of on the back of my muffler and then one between there and before it exists. seems to me like it is a universal part

Yeah, I'm not sure if this is the original exhaust ... but I'm positive that it's the exhaust that's rattling... I just wanted to know what I'm suppose to have so I can figure out what I should do.

Take a look at the hanger on the right rear of the frame. I tweaked mine on a rock last year and that caused the exhaust to hit against one of the cross members. On mine I just traced the exhaust from back to front looking for the shiny spot on the frame and exhaust where the grime had been rubbed off. A little work with a pry bar on that hanger cleared it enough to stop it.
