I Have An 85 Efi 4runner How Do I

HOW DO U TAKE APART WIRING HARNESS CONNECTORS.IVE HEARD THERES A CLIP BUT WERE,IT LOOKS SOLID I moved the rubber out from behind it but i cant get the wires out of the connector.please show a pic of how if u can or just really good instructions.its the harness for the alternater.

Usually a wire clip that wraps around the shell of the connector. I use a small screwdriver to lift the ends of the wire up and out of the groove it sits in. Forget exactly what the alternator conector looks like, I've not had a stock alt. for a long time.

im familiar with the wire around the out side but these r solid u can wiggle the wires inside and pullthem back a little but they wont come out.

the harness is located on the drivers side fenderwell and plugs into the alternater and more wires wich run down towards the head lightsits only about two feet long and has a 4 prong barrle connector

urs should still have it it also goes to a little box with a nut inside to atach it to another wire.and it is grounded to the exaust manifold

got it there r little tabs on them u push individually to release.i did it the easy way i smashed the bad one with a hammer
