Brake Fluid level tripping ABS VSC TRAC ? (for 01-02 guys only)

I've had this happen twice in the last 3 months. I'll be going down a hill and the VSC/TRAC/ABS light up on the dash. No CEL or any other lights. So I thought it was the brake fluid. I checked it, and it is 5/6 way full in the resorvior (5/6 way up from Low to High). Could that be the culprit?

I don't know what else it could be. I am going to fill it all the way to full after I get the fluid today, but just wondering if any of you guys have had this problem?

I've never had that happen. How steep a hill are we talking? I can't imagine any road grade that would trip a brake fluid warning.

I would guess you have a wire or connection that is loose somewhere.

It really wasn't that steep. They're actually hills that I've driven on numerous times. When I got to a level ground, it would clear. I thought that perhaps it was the Andy Mod I did, but if the wires somehow came loose, wouldn't the lights stay on? (like they do when I flip the switch).

Does your brake warning lite come on at all? If so that is what trips it. If not then you should see if there is a code stored

No, there is no brake warning light. Just those three lights - ABS, VSC, TRAC.

So are you saying I should plug in a Scan Gauge?

yes. one that is capable of reading abs and traction control codes to see if there is anything stored

Hmm, that would mean a trip to the dealership or a mechanic with an ABS reader. I think $70 or so. I'm going to see if topping off the fluid does the trick. If not, I will be visiting the dealership or a mechanic. Thanks for the input.
