90 4Runner, spare tyre

Hi there,

This might be silly question.
Can any one please help me how I can take the spare tyre that is attached underneath the car?

Sorry, but I couldn't figure it out.
Please help me out. thanks in advance.

There is a bar under the rear seat that goes in through a hole above the bumper. In one of the rear side pockets (passenger side on mine) should be a little case with some other attachments, including a handle. Then you crank it down.

The hoist is prone to rusting up and seizing solid, so let us know how the first part goes and we can go from there if it doesn't work!

Like TC said, they are known to rust and seize solid. Many resort to cutting it out (myself included).
