body damage

I have been looking at mid 80's trucks for a project, and am finding creased fenders just in front of the doors common, like the doors are binding into the fenders when opened. Is this from wornout body mounts, or something else? It has been kind of wet and muddy for a close inspection where they were parked. I just thought someone here probably already knows the answer!
Thanks
Rod

I have the same issue with my 85 4runner. I replaced both fenders with a set I pulled from a similar pick up and the doors rub the fenders. And they don't line up well with the hood.
I don't think its a body mount problem as the doors line up and latch fine. I believe mine to be from front end damage a few years ago.
I don't worry about it because its a play toy and not a DD. Plus the doors are off when the weather warms up.

The truck I have now is only the second truck I have ever owned with AC.

It sucks without it, but you certainly won't die...beside, you do have 2-45 AC: 2 windows down, going 45 mph!
