So I'm looking at 3" wheel spacers (three inches on each hub) and I wanted to check if I was going to have clearance issues. in the middle of the tread pattern, more on the inside. The tires rub slightly, about The truck isn't lifted, and sits on 34x10.5 Swampers. I want to know if wheel spacers will cause clearance issues, or if they move the tires out far enough that it won't be a problem. I'm mostly concerned about the lock-to-lock aspect.

So what do you think?

Original tires- 30x9
New tires- 34x10.5
Spacers- 3"

 

What wheels are you using? Pics would help but a 3" spacer is HUGE. Because of the larger scrub radius any spacer will make fitting a tire harder.

 

I'm using 17x10 american steelies. sorry, no recent pictures.

 

How much lift are we talking? 17x10's regardless of the b.s. with 3" spacers is going to hang out like crazy making it extremely difficult to fit. Just from the information I see, I would not do it.

 

no lift. yeah, I know it's gonna be a lot wider. I just wanted to check before I dumped $200 on a set of spacers that didn't fit... soo.... wouldn't widen it enough to eliminate rub?

 

Well... to a point I guess. But you need to widen it ALOT to get rid of any rubbing issues. Dont run spacers, do a mild lift to fix your rubbing.

Or you could take 130 of that 200 for wheel spacers and buy a body lift

 

but I kinda despise body lifts with a fiery passion....
