I need a favor from some with a 2nd gen 4runner

The favor:
Nothing huge, I just need some one to measure the distance from the front windshield back to the glass on the rear hatch (passenger side, straight back across the top of the seats).

The reason:
Looking at getting 2nd gen for a trail/beach rig, but I want to make sure I can fit my 9'4" surfboard straight in like I can in my 3rd gen. 2nd gens are hard to find in my area otherwise I would just find one and measure it myself.

Thanks for the help
Lincoln

Yes you can fit a 9'4" surfboard in a 2nd gen. but you have to have the front passenger seat unlocked so the back rest is all the way forward and unlocked instead of locked in position. it'd be a tight fit, but you could do it.

just measured mine. roughly 118" from bottom of back window straight across to bottom of dash. best was to work with the passenger seat would be to recline is all the way back and rest the front of the board on the dash and the top of the second row seats( probaly want to remove second row head rest)

cant you just tie it to the top or roll down the back and hang it out?

Yeah in my 3rd gen I usually hang it out the back if its nice out and I have rack that I use too, but its nice to be able fit it all the way inside and lock it up if I need too
