Bigger tires impact ABS?
Do larger tires impact the ABS speed sensors? I switched tires from 225/75/R15 to 31x10.5 R15 on my 1997. I recently needed to make an emergency stop. Instead of the ABS kicking in, the wheels slid on the pavement.

my buddy was told from the dealer not to change wheel size or tire size because it would effect the abs, this was on a 2001 tacoma.I also heard guys were just disconnecting the abs when going with bigger wheel packages

Yes, larger than stock tires will affect ABS because the tire will decelerate at a different rate since it has more rotating inertia. So your ABS will be less sensitive to notice the onset of locking up a wheel(s), although ABS will still mostly work as long as you're only increasing a few inches in tire size.
