Cool lights on - warning alarm, is this stock

my new(ER) 88 4x4 3.0 has every feature (that i know of)

but what really impressed me was when i turned off the engine, the cabin was BEEPING at me

after a week, i was working on it again, and it beeped again. then i noticed that whenever i leave on any lights, and shut down the engine, the brain (or something under the glove box) beeps.

is this an after market option, or is it on every toyota?>

b/c i will want to fix it on my "for sale" truck )(-no options-86 4x4 22r.)
if it is an aftermarket, what/where/how/ etc?

there is a constant buzz, which is to remind you the key is in the ignition. this is the most irritating of all noises. around the sterring column is a small box. open it, and ther is a relay and a buzzer, you jam paper in between the buzzer, and no more noise. dont even have to disconnect it.

the beep-beep-beep! sounds like a bomb timer, i know. is for headlights left on. leave this one alone. it will save your ass from a dead battery.

Is it kind of a faint buzz/beep? my '94 does that when I leave my lights on and take out the key. I'd say yes, it's standard.

the buzzer is gone (1st day, on every car i own).
but
this beep is a kind, easy, lite-weight bell. and yes, it did save me already, as i would have left my lights on last weekend.

thanks all.
