Lifting A 3rd Gen With A 2" Body Lift

What kind of obstacles would I be running into if I were lifting a 3rd gen with a 2" body lift. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Freddy

None. The body lift will make installing the lift no different than if you were were lifting a non-BL truck. Suspension and body lifts do not interfere with each other.

On a 3rd gen 4Runner a 2" body lift will actually make it easier to r/r the rear shocks.

Are you talking about putting a suspension lift on a truck that has a body lift already or lifting a truck via a body lift?

Thanks for the reply!

Hopefully in the next few months I'll be purchasing a 3rd gen. I do plan on running a 3" OME Lift, adding a 2" body lift and running 295/75/16 tires.

The body lift, is it a straight forward install? Shouldn't be running into any problems/obstacles?

the body lift is pretty straight forward. especially if you buy the kit from 4crawler and use the install directions. me and my dad were able to put it on pretty easily. i have the 3" ome lift on my 4runner as well.

No, nothing really too bad. You'll want to loosen up the steering column at the rag joint, and take off the lower fan shroud...(two clips), before lifting the body off the frame.

I really like the 2" body lift for working on the truck, there is a ton more room.

I can't wait to get my 4Runner.

3" Coil lift, 2" body and 33" tires

I think about it everyday....lol!

My driveway is sure going to look nice with two lifted Toyotas.

Yeah see the thing is, I do a lot of driving and drive a lot of people around. So the Taco isn't really practical for that, neither is the RSX. Sure am going to miss having a fun car like the RSX. On top of that, all the money I would be dumping into the RSX, I wouldn't use it to its full potential. A lot of the mods are for track use and don't plan on tracking the car at all. I figure down the road, I'll get another fun car.

Hopefully once I have the 3rd gen lifted, hoping it looks like this:
