What to look out for in an 84 4runner?

I am going to be looking at a 1984 4Runner this weekend.
It has 320K miles with motor supposedly done at 200K

Is there anything in particular to look for?
Is there a certain spot to look for rust?

The ad says has an exhaust problem and after installing a new oxygen sensor it still fails emmissions. Is there a problem with the carb?
Is it worth updating to a weber?

Anything else you can think of to point me in the right direction?
Thanks

I bought an 84 4Runner a while back also, mine has a rusted thru spot on the back of the right rear fender, so check that area for rust. my 4Runner also wouldn`t pass smog for the previous owner, and once i started checking things out around the engine i found a bad aap diaphragm on the carb and i also found that most of the vacuum lines were cracked or had holes in them, and thats understandable being that they were all original. Im also replacing the exhaust, new cat, muffler and exhaust pipe all the way back. Just give it a good going over, little things are easily fixed, and with regular maintinance these trucks will last forever. how much are they asking for it ?.

holy wow, that is alot of miles, mine is completely rusted out, were talking holes through the rear fenders into the cabin, a little drafty, but I also cut the top off too so no big deal. Just think though, the tranny and t-case would have 320k on them, as well as the axles, and the front axle is really only the thing that will for sure have value if the rest of the truck turns into a pile.
