late 80s S10 camper shell?
I'm looking at a camper shell on Craigslist, the guy says it came off of a late 80s S10. The measurements he gave me was 61.5"x76". The measurements I'm finding on my Taco are 60.5"x76".
It seems damn close. The problem I'm running into is that if it will fit right, I absolutely want to buy it, and I want to send a deposit today to hold it. But I won't be where the camper is located for another week, so I can't try it out on my truck before making an offer.
He also said he thought it was a "universal" small-truck camper. Is there such a thing? It certainly looks far newer than you'd expect for a 80's-era camper.
What do you guys think? If it is 1" wider than the truck bed, how noticeable would that be to have a 1/2" sticking out over the edges?

76" seems a little long. I think my 2000 truck is 72" overall from the front of the bed to the outside of the tailgate. Best bet would be to take the truck and a tape measure to the topper. The fit and measurements may be different depending on how the topper meets the cab also. I will try to get some measurements later.
