Transmission "exchange"

Does anyone here know if the transmission from a 22re will fit a 3vze? I've got a parts truck and a friend that wants the motor, and I'm kinda curious to know without having to tunnel through the snow to get under the stupid thing to look...

no (at least the manuals)

the 3VZE used an R series "large" trans bolt pattern

The 22RE used a W pattern "small" bolt trans pattern
