Checking for worn clutch

I am doing a 5spd swap into my truck, I want to know if i Should do a clutch while i have the motor out. there is a plug on the top of the bellhousing. is that to inspect the clutch, or do I need to pull the trans from the motor to check?

the clutch for my 89 runner was only $80 at O'Reilly's why would want to yank it back out when it is so easy right now. don't forget the torque wrench and locktite.

I would just replace it now because it's SUCH a PITA when in the truck!

I recommend the Marlin Crawler clutches.
