Hello, I just bought a 98 Toyota 4Runner that was from Canada. The cluster was in Kilometers. So I searched on the forms and made a post about if a US cluster can be swapped. Nobody know the answer, so I spent the money and took a chance. When I removed the cluster and checked the part # it was different this is the part # for the Canada cluster 769922-640. Well I have some good news the swap went very well. I installed the US cluster and everything works even the 4x4 light. I checked and now I am in Miles not Kilometers. I hope the will help someone.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier or I would have told you the swap was a no brainer and if I knew you were going to need a 96-98 gauge cluster I would have swapped you mine since I have one I imported from the US to Canada a while back so I'm looking for one with KMs on it.
