smog question and fun in the snow!
So the main reason for this post is to ask a question about my truck not passing smog but I also went up to Eagle lakes and did some snow wheelin with my girlfriend and I only got one picture when I got out to lock the hubs but I thought I'd share.
So my truck didn't pass smog cause it was running too rich, btw this is an 89 pickup with a 22re, could a modification similar to the deck plate mod cause my truck to run rich because more air is being taken in causing the computer to affect the amount of fuel being injected. I don't know anything about EFI so help me out please! Thanks
Oh and here's the crappy cell phone pic, like I said this is at Eagle lakes which is also leads to the beginning of the Fordyce Trail

Nope, as long as there are NO leaks behind the sensor in your airbox, the computer will adjust the fuel/air mixture accordingly.
Did you check for any codes?
whens the last time you did a tune up?
