Tokico shocks

My apologies for my Ignorance Does tokico only make one type or one length of blue green shocks /tokico trekmaster RT? I am trying to setup my 99 4runner with OME 3" Lift Front Coil Kit

Yes. Talk to Steve at Sonoran Steel. If you get some that aren't from him, be sure to use your stock nut, not the one supplied.

Nope. The stock nut will thread down perfectly on the Tokico Shock.

FYI...Steve does not sell the shocks separately. He only sells them with a complete lift kit.

yea, use your stock nut, OR go buy new hardware from an autoparts store. you want the highest grade nut you can find, take the shock with you and have them match up a nut.

the ones supplied with the green shocks WILL fail! i found this out the hard way!

what size is the stock nut? also is this stock nut you are referring to on my rig now. Thanks for the advice

shock nut is 12x1.25 or 12x1.5 (god i just dont remember, i think its the former) it is the same size for both stock shocks, and the tokico's (other brands may vary)

tokico included a 1/2" nut that fit well enough to hold the spring in compression, but blew off when they were compressed fully and then suddenly released.



a bit off topic, but i thought steve stopped selling the green shocks? or was that only for the SS 1.x kits?

Sorensen steel all the way, I just installed 4 new tokico shocks and they work great.
