carb pics!

is that top hole subposto be there?? I know that I broke the bottome vacume hose but that middle one looks suspecious...

and second of all can anyone tell me about this linkage....right abouve that 10mm bolt there is a little linkage that isn't connected to anything. If it were hooked up to some kind of spring or something besides free floating I wouldn't question its purpose. I think one of the previous owners might of left something off? So in the second pic when it is more horizontal my driverside butterfly will open up. But it looks like it never does because of this little linkage. any info would be greatly appreciated!

The hole above the broken vacume hose looks to be a miwture adjustment screw. i wouldnt really mess with it unless you are readjusting everything using the fsm. And for the lose linkage that is exactly how my carb is. I think it has something to do with setting the fast idle during cold starts. All that linkage on the carb changes positions depending on the choke and water temp.
