I like to dance, just not at idle

I need ideas on where to chase the demon.........the low down->
87 runner 22re 168,000mi 3,000 on the total rebuild.. The only thing I didn't replace in or on the engine is the cam/rockers/valves/springs, but the head is rebuilt by someone I trust(as much as you can trust a machine shop)
Also, their are parts such as egr, cold start injector, start ignition time sensor, little things like that, that may be a part of the problem...
Question??
Why does the sweet little girl(with a heart of gold) bump at idle, like its missing???
PS:bored over 40, new plugs, wires, coil, cap, good looking vac. hoses, oxy. sensor, k/n open mouth, header, high flow a$$ end, new oe injectors, I think all grounds have been cleaned, aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddd!
I think thats it.
Mr. everchasingtherunningdemon,

What brand spark plugs and O2 sensor did you use? Anything but NGK and Denso and you have the strong possibility of the motor missing at idle.

An EGR stuck open will cause a choppy idle. You can temporally bypass it to see if it eradicates the problem.

Any codes stored in the computer?

First off, I've adjusted the valves from here to last tuesday and it never seems to make much of a difference(and yes with the engine hot). And I do have NGK plugs in it that are relatively new..... But I put bosch wires in it late one night after burning one on the header and Autosuck was the only parts store open. The EGR on the other hand has been in the front/back of my mind the whole time, and just never justifiable at $160 or $180 a pop... Any ideas where to get a good EGR that isn't quite so much?
What is a flat cam lobe, I mean, is it noticeable just by looking? When I had the motor out, I looked real hard at the cam to see if it had to go but $$$ was really tight. Oh yeah, how should I bypass the EGR?
thanks guys

I agree. If I run anything else in my 3.0 it runs like crap. I've tried Bosch and a couple others, never ran them more than a month before I threw them away.
