i have a 93 3.0 auto totally stock... the butts sagging a bit so im planing on getting new springs and shocks for the back my question is i also plan to tuck 33s under it im seeing that there is a bit of a rub issue will they fit without touching the tbars????

Search seriously. Stock you can fit 33x10.50s with some rubbing and with cruiser coils and ball joint spacers your can EASILY fit 12.50s with nearly no rubbing at all.

 

Oh and it your just look at the t-bars youll see that you cant hit them.

so thank you kindly i guess my answer is "NO" you dont have to turn the t bars add spacers or anything just stick them in there and thats it i can keep my stock coils and just replace shocks

 

Youll need to beat the fender seam in but thats it.

 

well if u want to run 33" tires u cant run 12.50's without alot of rubbing, many people on here run 33-10.50's and do it with little to no rubbing. so the answer is no as long as u dont go to wide with them. o and sry to flame u didnt relize u were so new welcome to the forums. dam i feel stupid now

 

33x12.5 yes it can be done.
-beat the fender seam
-Get whells with less backspacing (stick further out)
-Crank torsions
-better to use balljoint spacers.

33x10.5
-No lift will fit with very little issue..

Well, I'm surprized no one has mentioned this yet, but according to your title, "do i have to crack the t bars to fit 33s?", the answer is no, you do not have to crack the t bars, if you do, something is wrong. And you don't have to crank them either.....

 

do you have em? i have 33''s and i beat the **** outta my fender seem, and it is ok on the street, able to turn complete right to left without rubbing, as soon as one end is flexed up tho, and then turn, youll rub. bj spacers are recommended to raise the front end up a bit.

 

TC is the man to really ask. I run 33"x12.5" on stock suspension/alloy wheels with very little issue, and no trimming/seam beating... There are better ways to do it, but 33"x10.5' will fit...

 

Bj spacers won't help you one bit there.

They will only help you on the street, but you said you're already fine on the street. You will still be able to flex into the fenders.

thanks guys!! this is what i needed real data help make up my mind ..... so since i like the stock feel and stock rims ill do 33's and since i hav a lil wheel well rust might cut for flares ( just to have better clearence and get rid of the rust) what about swaybars disconnect is it really that helpful on trails i am in ohio and theres not much "rock" climbing here least i dont think!! lol so the final is 33 and flares new shocks a winch all i need to do now is decide what locker to but in the back anyone wanna field this one ????

For a locker it depends on how much money you've got laying around. If you have the dough, go ARB. If not, go Aussie or Lockright. (Oh, no Aussie if your a V6, then Lockright is the only option) People b!tch regularly about lunchbox lockers but I am perfectly happy with mine. I wanted an Aussie as I had heard they are a little smoother than Lockrights, but when I was trying to get mine they were on backorder FOREVER so I went with the LR. I'm in Arizona so I don't know about snow and ice characteristics. But my advice is GET LOCKED!! one way or the other.

 

Whereabouts in OH? I just moved from Lorain, and before that was in Toronto, near Pittsburgh, PA.

The place to go wheeling is Wellsville. The OH TTORA chapter has runs there regularly.

IMHO, disconnecting the front swaybar made a big difference, (mostly in the ride of the truck offroad) with almost no drawbacks. Now that the rear is disconnected though, there is A LOT more body roll. In other words, I would disconnect the front and never look back, might want to think before removing the rear one.

As for lockers, you live where it snows. If you are the only one who ever drives your truck, you can do a luchbox (aussie, etc), but if anyone else does, then your only real choice is a selectable (ARB, elocker) because they likely won't believe you about how it handles different until they put it in the ditch.
