Looking at these tires. Who's running them and what do you think? Where did you buy them? Best price? So far, best price I've gotten is summit @ $139.95 each. $602 OTD.

I'm running 285/75R16's on my 97 4Runner and so far so good. I've only had them for just under 10000km (6214mi). I rotate every 5000km (3107mi). I'm from Alberta, Canada so I use them in mud and snow/ice with the occasional rock.

Life: I can see almost no wear asides from a nick here and there.
Noise: Relativily quiet, a little quieter than my old MT/R's
Mud: Good, better than MT/R's but by no means TSL's
Snow/Ice: It hasn't started to snow here yet but when it does I'll let you now
Rock: I noticed no difference between them and the MT/R's (In loose rock and not the big slippery stuff)
Price: Im in Canada everything is WAY more up here (Even with the $1.07 dollar ).

For where I drive I like them a lot more than MT/R's. Probally doesn't help much but there it is.

Thanks, actually it does help. Don't forget to post when it snows please. Seriously. We get a lot of snow in CO as well, so that's why this tire is appealing. I've read the TrXus has the most siping of all the MTs.

 

Hey, do you have any pics of your rig? I'm lookin to run the same toytec lift and possibly 33" trXus tires, just like you. I'm curious to see what that combo would look like....thanks

 

Sorry but I haven't been on the site for sometime. I just saw your post regarding how the the Trxus M/T's are in the snow/ice.

Well we had a mild winter in Calgary but I did get out to the mountains on some nice unplowed roads. They did surprisingly well in the snow they just seemed to bite through the snow again much better than MT/R's. On ice not so good but what tire really is (except ice tires). All in all the only thing I don't like about these tires is balancing them cause they're so heavy.

Been some time so this my not matter anymore but regardless there you have it.

As for pictures none with the tires on (yet) but I'll try and get some before and after pics of just the lift.

I think a guy named TC on the board does. He drives a dark red 2nd gen 4Runner.

 

Not yet - I have Dunlop Radial Rover RVXT in 33x10.50 currently.

The 255/85-16 Trxus MT is currently my choice for the next set unless the Procomp Xtreme MT suddenly becomes available in a similar size.
