Colorado people, where to get rebuilt 22re?

Any reccomendations? I really want to get a high quality rebuilt motor in my truck. Price is kind of an object (or else I'd just order an LCE motor) but not too bad, Id rather the motor last. I would prefer if it was in the Lakewood/Littleton/Golden/Arvada area but if you know a shop that's worth it, I'll probably travel.

I'd try getting on colorado4x4.org. It's not a yota site, but the guys on there know a ton of local places. It also gives you the option of doing a swap other than a straight 22re swap.

Other than that my suggestion is Pull N Save!

I asked on Colorado4x4.org and got no response back unfortunately. Hard to find a trustworthy shop sometimes.

hmm.... well it's worth a shot to bump that back to the top.

otherwise, there are many sites out there to order rebuilt engines. my buddy has been looking for a rebuilt 2f for is fj60, and has found some good deals. but he's also planning to do the work himself, so if you're not planning on doing the work, this may not be an option.

if you don't mind the work, just get a factory service manual and get cracking!

I'm kind of thinking about that, I'll have the time to do it, as I do have another vehicle, but if I'm spending upwards towards a thousand bucks or more on machine work, I would rather have a pro do it. Plus I have pretty much the worst luck ever lol and it probably wouldn't work out.

Well I found a good place to get a motor, and I should have it within a month or so here. Next question is, who wants to help me put it in? I've got parts to trade or I could pay some cash, or even owe a big favor.

I will compensate fairly if you can save me some cash over a mechanic at 80 bucks an hour.
I'm going to get the engine here

Oh and if it makes a difference, my truck is pretty much spotless under the hood with maybe a few drops of oil at the back of the valve cover. Your hands will barely even get dirty on this one. I've got parts to trade or

Please tell me you didn't already buy that engine. By the time you pay all the extra fees they add on - including a very shady and seriously lacking description, you might be looking at a catastrophic lose. The company appears to be average at best... "re-manufactured" engines by a junkyard establishment is not where i'd spend that kind of money.
Nowhere on their website could i find their process or an actual list of parts replaced.

I know some people hate to hear this but check out eBay. You can get a much better engine, price, and warranty. Feedback speaks a million words.

Well, this would be my first time buying a rebuilt engine ever. I do not know a reputable shop in Colorado from which to do so, hence the title of the thread. I have heard good things about this company from a total of 5 people off two different local Colorado message boards. I asked a general question about where to get an engine, no response. No I havent bought the engine but it seems worth it. I contacted "Jim the Yota man" and he quoted me a used engine, with no mileage quote for $600. Seems like a lot of money for an engine that the guy can't even tell me how many miles are on it. I don't know who to buy from, and I don't have a ton of money. I also don't have the space or tools to do an engine install, and definitely wouldn't trust myself to rebuild an engine and waste $1000 of machine work making a small mistake. Every place I've called wants a thousand bucks to install a new longblock.
